Here are a couple pictures from our time at NAMM. The first is from a sweet old camper that was parked at our hotel. At night there were always a few people in black leather (the NAMM dress code) hanging out outside the door if the camper, smoking and whatnot.
The next picture is from the Yamaha booth, which is so big it's actually the ballroom of an adjacent hotel.
The last shot is from the upstairs of the Shure booth. We say up there watching Rob Halford (from Judas Priest) sign autographs while Pete chatted with the guys from Dawes and I waited for Jackson Browne to show up (he never did.) Interestingly, the gray haired guy sitting down there on the stage has probably met and photographed more rockstars and other musicians than I could name.

Santa Monica
We made it to Santa Monica just in time for the sunset. Our hotel is in the background of the 2nd picture, just to the left of those tall buildings. It's called The Georgian. Tomorrow we go back to see Aunt Jean again before heading home.

Hooray for the ocean!
Not sure if you can see us with the lighting, but it's our first view of the ocean! (like last year i'm joining Pete in California for NAMM. We got in today and now we're on our way to San Diego to meet some people he works with. We're supposed to have dinner with them on the water tonight.)

4, Can You Believe It?
Clara had a great birthday! Thanks to all who called, sent notes, or otherwise helped celebrate her beautiful self. Big thanks, especially, to Elvis (Clara's birthday buddy) for surprising her at her party. I know everyone says it about their kids, but how can my little baby be 4!?!?

Helping
Clara proudly told me she had done as I asked and put her nativity set away. When I finally walked into the room after dealing with the tree, I saw this.

Good Morning
Pete is doing well this morning. He's on soft foods and pain pills. Sporting some sexy compression socks. We're just waiting to meet with dr. Ujiki again before he's dismissed. Good thing there's football on tv and knitting in my purse.
