You might consider going to get a scoop of Jamoca Almond Fudge tonight in honor of this guy: Irvine Robbins passed away on Monday. He invented lots of flavors and Jamoca Almond Fudge was his favorite. He was 90 years old.
But when he invented Trail Mix, the best ice cream flavor ever (milk chocolate with almonds, raisins, and coconut), they took it off the market for some inexplicable reason!! When I was teaching in CS, we used to take an afternoon break and walk downtown to B&R. I needed the Trail Mix to find my way back.
I also remember lots of walks downtown to get scoops. Those were the days. My favorite was mint chocolate chip. There aren't enough BRs around anymore, at least not out here.

Jamoca Almond Fudge has always been my favorite too! I remember walks downtown to get scoops!
