It's so hot. All we can do is gaze wistfully out the window at the pool in the backyard. Oh how we wish we could dip our toes in its icy coolness. But the sun is too hot to even be out there. We did get a little outdoor time this morning. We took a walk and had a little breakfast picnic in the park, near Henry's favorite thing-the gazebo. When he says "gazebo" it sounds suspiciously like "elbow", another favorite word of his. Franklin did not enjoy being tied to the tree. He really wanted to get a taste of Henry's cereal (cereal-another word Henry is working on.) But please note-Franklin did get a nice cup of filtered water from Starbucks.
So I guess we'll spend most of the day indoors. I have schoolwork I haven't looked at since class on Wednesday. Pete's been organizing his CDs. We're trying to only let Henry watch one episode of Muppets ("gugget!") a day. And of course...we'll be celebrating Auntie Liz's birthday today! Sounds like a steak dinner in Deerfield to me. Happy Birthday Liz. We hope it's a wonderful year, full of happiness and excitement!
