Pictures from ICIA

Here are a few of the things we did in Iowa City this last week...
Stayed at Mom's for a few nights. Clara loved the horsey highchair toy and the little rubber bear.
Pete and Henry ate out on the porch with Uncle Will and Aunt Sandy.
Clara loves smooshy-face time. Here she's getting some smooches from Grammie.
After eying the VFW (or something) lollipops at Pagliai's, I let Henry have a quarter. He, of course, chose the blue raspberry Tootsie Roll Pop. What is blue raspberry anyway? I love his eyes in this picture.
We spent some time at JazzFest Friday night- listening to Medeski, Martin and Wood and trying to avoid the hippies.
This must have been at the very beginning of the fireworks, because after about three minutes Henry had his hands clapped over his ears and then he started saying "I don't like fireworks!!!"
The display had been moved to Hubbard Park, with viewing on the Pentacrest. It made for a pretty impressive scene....though quite crowded.
We had to leave a little early, but I'm glad we got to see what it looked like all the way down Iowa Ave.
The next day was Eleanor's birthday party. I believe Henry was probably waiting for some cake here.... Doesn't he look grown up?
Beth got to come up for the festivities. It was nice to see her and she and Mom had a few laughs. Beth is Mom's closest friend from birth.
Sandy found this cute hat for Eleanor. Aunt Joyce had to try it on.
The birthday girl enjoyed her cake.
Sunday found us all at the JazzFest. Clara enjoyed the music.
And we all enjoyed some good food. Clara wanted to try Grammie's noodles.
And Henry had fun running around, just generally being Henry.
There are a few more photos to come before I get back into real time.
