Henry has a newfound love of yogurt. For a while he wasn't so into it, but lately he knows when it's in the fridge and begs for his "cow", which is what he calls it-due to the picture on the label. You can also see that he is really gaining control of the spoon. Such a talented boy.
He got a new little wagon from his Great Great Aunt Jean. He likes to sit in it, but then can't quite figure out how to make it go.
Last night we all went out to El Jardin to celebrate the fact that I wasn't in class on a Wednesday night. We had some sort of Patron tequila that was on special. Here you can see my new hair cut...sort of. The weather has been too durn hot to actually style it.
And here's Henry "smiling" for the camera. He very much enjoyed sharing in Joyce and Papa's rice and beans.
When we went back outside the weather had finally cooled...somewhat. The clouds looked threatening and there was lightning, but it didn't really rain and storm until overnight. Looks like today is going to be the day we take Joyce to the library. We're tired of being in the house so much. We want to go to the pool too, but the last several days were too hot, and now it's too stormy. Oh the difficult summer life.

love it! i'm thinking of investing in a yogurt maker myself. i think only about $40. anyone else have experience in this arena?
and, i like your hair cut! i think i'll be joining you soon on that!
amber, i put (not "we", rob really wanted nothing to do with it) a donvier yogurt maker on our wedding registry and someone bought it for us (much to rob's chagrin). i've used it a few times--you can only make plain, non-flavored yogurt and it takes about 10 hours to incubate, but it's a pretty easy process.
hint: an easy way to flavor plain yogurt--put a tablespoon or two of jam or fruit spread in the microwave for 10 seconds and stir the liquified fruit goodness into the yogurt.
betsy, your hair looks cute!

Betsy: You look really pretty in that picture. I like your haircut! And I'm not prejudiced!
Your papa
I particularly love Henry's "out of it" look. Reminds me of Will.
