I guess I can't put off covering that gingko any longer! This is actually not the first one I saw. The first one flew away when I went to get the camera. It had red eyes. So far I've seen about a half dozen shells and just a couple 'emerged' cicadas. Very exciting!
Fifi loved the sock dance! She often requests that we watch the "squirrel movie"- a utube clip of a water skiing squirrel. I bet that the sock dance will be added to her favorites! Samantha
i had just graduated from 8th grade the last time the cicadas came out in chicagoland and i remember what a buzz they generated (pardon the pun). love the cicada origami and, of course, the cupcakes!
