The plumbers came back today. Henry helped with the excavation process. I'm not sure if Pete was honoring the pope, or just letting Santucci know they had competition...
They dug down to the pipe, which- fortunately for us-was not buried very deep.
They thought the problem might be here... I guess in older construction they joined the 4" to the 6" pipe with concrete. They thought the excess inside might be causing a clog to form. So the cut out a chunk and then decided that wasn't the problem. So the did some more power-rodding, and then blasted water through the clogged up part to clear things out. I guess that's supposed to be all we need done for now. We don't yet know what the total is, but we're thinking it could have been worse.
We had a quick, easy, leftovers dinner and then went to Baskin & Robbins. Henry had a cone, Clara got a sundae.
She knows.
If you're familiar with our B&R (Mom) you'll notice they've had a face-lift.
This photo illustrates part of the reason Henry is in the bath right now.
And...yesterday and today I put some flowers in. Henry helped Grandma choose some pansies, and she gave us some to bring home.
And I couldn't resist some others at the Do-It Best hardware to complete my front pots.
Hooray for Spring!

We're back to winter around here, so it's nice to see spring elsewhere. Might even get some snow in the hills around town over the weekend. Cruel, cruel weather.
Yay for older homes and the fun issues in them! I hope your plumbing issues are all taken care of now.
