Today was national donut day. So Henry and I ran to Deerfield's before setting out for Iowa.
And then we saw this mysterious helicopter outside, buzzing the church. It looked like a toy, but it wasn't.
Deerfield's has new "budget" donuts. We had one in the car on the way back to the house.
And took one home for Clara.
She wasn't much of a fan. The next thing I knew she was pushing it away, distastefully, with a single finger. She may not actually be my daughter.

that last photo is great. It is as if Clara knows that donuts are a slippery ( but delicious) slope
