Weekend Update

Some highlights from the weekend include:
Baby stalking in the backyard...

Yummy dinner inspired by my new vegetarian cookbook. Purchased from an NPR recommendation, off Amazon with a bday giftcard from Dad.
Saturday morning rainy porch playing.
Stomping around in Mom's cowboy hat.
Hilarious!!
I bought box-brownies on a whim, knowing Henry's pal Jonah was coming over. Funfetti!
Henry and Jonah both had rock guitar shirts on.
Clara also likes to show off her physique.
This morning she helped me do a little planting.
And then she took Dad for a walk. Henry tried to catch up.
Pete hack-sawed the drainpipe so we could activate the new rain barrel.
Pete found this little guy while mowing the lawn.
Henry and I named him Bruce.
There was much excitement while Bruce visited the porch.
I wonder what he was thinking.
Henry didn't really want to hold him. He touched him a little bit, but this was about the most he could do for holding.
And then there was a little bit of mild tormenting.

*No toads were harmed in the making of this post. Bruce was later released back into the yard near the columbine....where we previously released John...our last toady visitor.
